Adam Blakeley, MSF

Adam Blakeley ‎is the Director of Technical Services for the US and Canada with ‎MacDermid Enthone as well as the North American Product Line ‎Manager for Pretreatment. Adam received his BA in History from The ‎Citadel and his MA in History from Converse College. Adam is ‎designated an MSF through the Foundation, the Technical Education ‎Director for the NASF Palmetto Chapter, a member of the Technical ‎Advisory Committee for NASF, and a board member with the NASF ‎Foundation. Adam writes extensively on technical finishing topics ‎and has been featured in the Surface Finishing Educational ‎Association, Surface Technology Environmental Resource Center, ‎Finishing and Coating Magazine, and Products Finishing Magazine. ‎He’s been a featured guest lecturer at Converse College, an expert ‎panelist for IMTS Spark, and teaches science, film, literature, and ‎rhetoric for middle and high school students. He’s been married for ‎‎14 years and has 5 children. ‎

Doug Deeken, MSF

Doug Deeken is an independent metallurgical and special ‎processing consultant with expertise in failure analysis, heat ‎treatment, electroplating and organic finishing systems. He has 24 ‎years of experience with aerospace, food processing, pressure ‎vessel, automotive and polymer processing products. His experience ‎includes work for Aerospace Fortune 500 OEMs. He has a Bachelor’s ‎in Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Youngstown State ‎University (1997).‎

Francis DiGiovanni, CEF-3, CAF ‎

With over 43 years of expertise in the metal finishing industry, Francis ‎has built a distinguished career working with three major suppliers of ‎chemicals for the metal finishing sector. Their experience extends to ‎leadership roles at five contract plating shops, where they served as ‎Production Manager and Technical Manager, overseeing complex ‎operations and technical processes. After a long and successful ‎career, Francis transitioned into retirement and now applies their ‎extensive knowledge as a part-time consultant, helping clients ‎optimize metal finishing processes and achieve operational ‎excellence.‎

Jeffrey R. Lord, MSF

Jeffrey R. Lord, MSF, ‎is Principal of the Black Company Environmental and ‎provides consulting services for surface finishing clients to ‎systematically and cost-effectively transform processes and plants ‎towards the highest technical performance, quality and efficiency ‎while improving profitability. Mr. Lord has over 40 years of and ‎industrial R&D and EH&S management experience. He works ‎principally with metal finishers and has done design, construction ‎and set up of operations. His main focus is process control, process ‎optimization and troubleshooting of metal finishing processes. He ‎has worked for wide variety of private industry clients in aerospace, ‎automotive, chemical manufacture and other manufacturing ‎industries and for US and foreign government agencies. He has been ‎an AESF Foundation course instructor for nearly 35 years and is a ‎regular instructor of all their course offerings. He started off his ‎career teaching high school chemistry and physics and has been an ‎instructor at all levels instruction from elementary to professional his ‎entire professional career. He has a MS in Physical Chemistry from ‎Boston College (1983) and a BS Chemistry/Education from SUNY ‎Cortland (1978).‎
