Governance


If you would like to volunteer to serve on one of the following AESF Governance Boards or learn more about ongoing activities, please contact John Flatley, Executive Director of the Foundation.

Education Board

The AESF Education Board manages and develops technical education and training programs to advance the science and technology of surface finishing and to promote continuing education within the industry and expose future employees to the technical skills of the industry.

Journal Review Board

The AESF Journal Review Board reviews, manages, and disseminates the Journal through The Plating & Surface Finishing magazine and ensure that the Journal contains high quality practical/applied research information for the science for surface finishing and providing an outlet for technical papers and new research in the industry.

Research Board

The AESF Research Board manages and supports research and development activities through Request for Proposals and review of such proposals related to the advancement of the science of the surface finishing industry and award research grants to qualified projects.

Scholarship Board

The AESF Scholarship Board manages, supports, and awards monies through the Foundation Scholarship program enabling students to further their studies and future careers in the field of surface finishing.
